Kayla Aguilar

Kayla Aguilar is a Chicago-based creative. Born and raised in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood, Kayla has learned the importance of community. At the age of 12 she started to be involved in projects, such as Candy Chang's "Before I Die" project.

Graffiti has a special place in her heart, as it was one of the first mediums she was introduced to. One can also find her featured in a permanent graffiti mural at the University of Chicago. She now runs Cherry Mountain Arts formerly known as Fat Tiger Workshop. The local streetwear store closed its doors in 2021 and has transformed into a nonprofit art center. She has used her background in art and leadership skills to tackle any project whether it's with assisting or taking the lead.
